Abbreviations:

Mc – magic circle

Sc – single crochet

Hdc – half double crochet

Inc – increase. Work 2 single crochet into stitch to increase by one stitch.

Dec – decrease. Single crochet two together to decrease by one stitch.

Sk st – skip stitch. Skip over the designated stitch before working in the next one.

Sl st – slip stitch

Gauge:

15 stitches x 16 rows = 4 x 4 inch square swatch in single crochet. Using the hook that

obtains this gauge will yield a bee that is approximately 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. Every person who crochets naturally works with a different tension, and the hook size and gauge can be adjusted to make your item larger or smaller. The hook optionally provided in this kit is a standard size and is not guaranteed to obtain this gauge for every crafter.
